The Forever Young (Bulao) Hot Spring is Opening Enjoy a Beautiful Day at Liugui Mountain City
Can one can stay young forever while enjoying a hot spring? The Liugui Forever Young (Bulao) Hot Spring is opening! In an attempt to revitalize the tourism industry in Bulao Hot Spring region, Kaohsiung City Government is holding a Bulao Hot Spring conference for today (12th April) to announce the launch of the new Forever Young (Bulao) Hot Spring brand in the Bulao Hot Spring region. Along with “One Heart, Three Routes”, the unique tourism brand for the 9 eastern Kaohsiung regions, the government has invited the local businesses from East Kaohsiung Friendly Tour to demonstrate the result of the brand. It is hoped to create a tourism brand for Liugui Mountain City hot springs and drive tourism at the Bulao Hot Spring region. In the past, the businesses at the Bulao Hot Spring region used to extract their hot spring water by themselves, making it impossible to obtain a legal hot spring label. Not only did this not protect the tourists, but it also makes it difficult to market the businesses as hot springs. By having the Bureau of Tourism, Kaohsiung City Government as the middleman to obtain the hot spring distribution rights for the local businesses, 144 tons of hot spring water are extracted daily. This distribution of hot spring resources helps to lay a firm foundation for the local hot spring tourism. Dr. Yeh Kuang-Shih, the Deputy Mayor of Kaohsiung, said that Liugui in the east Kaohsiung is blessed with both Bulao and Baolai hot spring regions and the Bureau of Tourism has been actively developing relevant tourism facilities. For example, Baolai Public Hot Spring reopened in January after renovation. Currently, the pink shower trees are fully bloomed, attracting many visitors. The other would be the Bulao Hot Spring which survived Typhoon Morakot. The weakly alkaline water quality makes your skin smooth just like you returned to your youth. He truly recommends the public to vacation at Liugui, enjoying the hot spring while experiencing the spirit of friendly travel at the nine eastern Kaohsiung regions. East Kaohsiung is a melting pot of Hakka, indigenous, Hokkien and Burmese culture, forming their own unique cultures. The Bureau of Tourism has used “East Kaohsiung Friendly Tour” as the main theme in the 9 mountain city districts to provide visitors with multicultural experience for their one- or two-day trips. The businesses that were invited this time include: Sanshu Agricultural Produce, Sunfa Tea Plantation Workshop, Hanagu Mountain Tea Plantation Workshop, New Tribe Development Association, Tibetan Royal Bakery+Wish Bakery, Puliman-Punanan, Antiquity Bread Bakery, and Suai-A-Ka Cultural Common Space, showcasing the good result the brand has created. Mr. Chiu, Chun-Lung, the director of the Bureau of Tourism suggested that the 9 eastern Kaohsiung regions are the tourism districts most suitable places to experience the food and the city fully and slowly. The beautiful and unique scenery is merged perfectly with the local Hakka culture and indigenous culture. Using the perspective of “East Kaohsiung Friendly Tour”, the bureau created a brand for the 9 eastern Kaohsiung regions through local business integration, itinerary promotion, and tourism branding. Mr. Chan, Chien-Nan, the CEO of Forever Young Bulao Hot Spring Co. that extracts hot spring from Bulao Hot Spring, said that the Liugui region suffered severely due to the landslides and mudflow caused by Typhoon Morakot and tourism has suffered the most. In order to revitalize local tourism and satisfy the local demand, the Bureau of Tourism has taken an additional step to help. In the past, the businesses at the Bulao Hot Spring region used to extract their hot spring water by themselves, making it impossible to obtain a legal hot spring label. Not only does this not protect the tourists, but it also makes it difficult to market the businesses as hot springs. With the current pink shower blossom season, one can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way by traveling to Liugui via Provincial Highway No. 27. Along with the return-to-youth hot spring at Bulao Hot Spring, it would be the most therapeutic infection prevention trip.
