Resorts World One Announces Return to Kaohsiung for Summer Schedule of Homeport Cruise Itineraries

59
Date :2024-04-23
When Resorts World Cruises’ Resorts World One made its maiden visit to Port of Kaohsiung last year, it also made history as the first cruise ship ever to operate a Kaohsiung-Hong Kong dual-homeport itinerary. This year (2024), Resorts World One is returning to southern Taiwan to run summer-season homeport cruises from Kaohsiung, with three departures (August 19th, 23rd and 27th) scheduled to take passengers on all-new homeport journeys to the vacation hotspots of Naha, Ishigaki Island, and Miyako Island in Japan’s Okinawa Prefecture. Passengers are invited to bask in the beauty of Japan’s southern isles and enjoy shopping without the worry of luggage weight limitations.

Resorts World One weighs in at 75,000 GT, measures 268m long and 32m wide, and can accommodate 1,856 passengers. Tailored to East Asian cultural aesthetics and tastes, Resorts World One has worked hard to earn its ‘gourmet cruise’ reputation. In addition to serving up an expansive selection of authentic Chinese cuisine, the ship’s kitchens regularly prepare delicious dishes from around the world. Moreover, with most service staff conversant in Mandarin, it is little wonder why Resorts World One has been called the cruise ship ‘most in touch with Taiwan’. Passengers are encouraged to take full advantage of the wealth of entertainment and leisure options on board, including live stage performances, immersive VR experiences, health club, spa, kids-only zone, and more. This castle of fun on the high seas provides endless entertainment for passengers of all ages, and is the ideal choice for a very memorable family summer vacation.

The three Kaohsiung homeport cruise journeys to be offered aboard Resorts World One this summer include 5-day / 4-night and 3-day / 2-night options with stops in Naha and on Ishigaki and Miyako islands, offering plenty of choices for passengers. Notably, the 63 cruise ships currently scheduled to call at Port of Kaohsiung this year include 26 turnaround calls and 37 transit calls, potentially bringing over 100,000 international visitors to the city. Also, eight of the international cruise ships on the list this year will be making their first call at the new Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal (KPCT).

Resorts World One’s return to Kaohsiung in August will mark its first use of the KPCT for homeport operations. TIPC as well as CIQS agencies will be primed and ready to provide passengers with an exceptional processing and clearance experience and second-to-none service efficiency.
